Carbon Express has engineered the Maxima RED SD (small diameter) shafts to control dynamic spine with high-tech carbon and stiffer ends to contain the arrow’s flex to what they call the RED ZONE. The Maxima RED SD has a .203-inch inside diameter, and the new 450 size shaft has a small .279-inch outside diameter, delivering improved penetration and reduced wind drift for more accurate shots at longer distances. 

All Maxima RED SD 6- and 12-pack sets are sorted and matched by weight and spine for increased consistency. Spine selection sorting tolerance is +/- 0.0025-inch and weight sorting tolerance is +/- 1.0 grains. The Maxima RED SD shafts feature Launchpad Precision Nocks for a controlled arrow release, better shaft alignment and shot after shot consistency. They also include proprietary BullDog Nock Collars to protect the shaft against nock end impacts.

The Maxima RED SD are available in a 12-pack of bare shafts for an MSRP of $199.99, or a 6-pack of arrows fletched with Blazer vanes. Besides the new 450 size (11.1 gpi and .300 spine), the Maxima RED SD are available in two additional sizes, 250 (8.3 gpi and .400 spine) and 350 (9.4 gpi and .350 spine).
