HHA Sports Celebrates 30 Years

Founded 30 years ago by an out of work bowhunter with a single product and a dream, HHA Sports is quite a success story. First debuted in 1984, The Knucklehead folding stabilizer quickly became a favorite of bowhunters nationwide. That single stabilizer paved the way for throngs of innovative products that starving entrepreneur and company founder Harry Hamm would launch in the late '80s to put food on the family table.

"Arrow rests, releases, and cardboard deer targets kept the wolf from the door, but it wasn't until the late-'90s when HHA introduced the Optimizer single-pin bowsight that HHA became a household name and the powerhouse that it is today," noted Chris Hamm, national sales manager.

With his wife Arlene, daughter Roberta, and sons Brian and Chris, Harry Hamm and his family have built one of the most trusted and respected brands in all of archery — a brand that lives up to the vision of its founder.

"More popular than ever, the Optimizer Lite and Lite Ultra continue to dominate sales at pro shops worldwide, with exclusive features including totally toolless adjustments, a mechanical rheostat light to fine-tune pin intensity, and a patented sight-in yardage tape system," Hamm added. We have won nine consecutive Bowhunting World Readers' Choice Awards, and those awards have immortalized the Optimizer as king of the single-pin hill. Faster bows have increased demand for one-pin setups in recent years, and the Optimizer remains the brand of choice for archers everywhere. We are proud to provide them with it."

Always looking to diversify and grow, the Optimizer brand entered the crossbow market in 2010 with the Optimizer Speed Dial. It didn't take long for this sight mount and its legendary name to get noticed by crossbow users.

"The Speed Dial is one of the hottest gadgets available for crossbows today," Hamm pointed out. "It eliminates the need for multi-haired scopes and provides the shooter 20- to 80-yard accuracy by the yard, with the turn of a dial. This same technology will soon dazzle firearms enthusiasts in the form of the Optimizer Horizon Sighting System, due in stores early this summer. The Optimizer Horizon emphasizes adjustable one-point aiming with a single crosshair, similar to its crossbow companion. By simply sighting-in at two distances, infinite range adjustment is just a dial away for your .22, shotgun, muzzleloader, or centerfire rifle.

Hamm wants consumers and retailers to know that whether you shoot a bow, crossbow, or gun, HHA has you covered with the most precise and durable sighting systems on the market."

"All our products are made in the USA in our home state of Wisconsin, and every product we make carries a 100-percent lifetime guarantee," Hamm concluded.
