One of the best parts of working in the hunting industry is attending the two primary trade events each winter, namely the ATA (Archery Trade Association) Show and SHOT (Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade) Show. If you’ve never had the chance to attend one of these spectacles, just picture your local sportsman’s show — and multiply it by 100, or 1,000, or even 10,000.
During the recent 2019 ATA Show in Louisville, Kentucky, I visited the Tink’s booth, and there I learned about three new scent-related products from this well-respected company that’s been around since 1972. I look forward to trying each of them this fall to lure whitetails within shooting range.
- The first item is Buck Wild Pads. These one-time-use wicks (5 per pack) feature an easy-hang system and are pre-loaded with Tink’s famous #69 Doe-in-Rut formula.
- Next in the lineup is Tink’s #69 Doe-in-Rut Estrous Fogger. This 5-ounce can contains 100 percent pure scent (no propellant) and has an adjustable spray rate.
- Last but not least is Tink’s Gel Stream Hot Shot. This 5-ounce can shoots a 10-foot stream of scented gel. It’s available in three scents: #69 Doe-in-Rut, Trophy Buck, and #1 Doe-P. This can also features a locking top to prevent accidental discharge of the scent in your pack. Nice!
