In case you were looking for an excuse to become a Seattle Mariners fan or sing the Atlanta Falcons fight song on Sundays, there’s a new reason to add a couple teams to your cable lineup.
Master gunmaker Weatherby announced May 29 that two of its pro shooters, Willie Bloomquist and Bear Pascoe, have signed with new professional sports teams as they continue to pursue their athletic careers.
Willie “Big News” Bloomquist previously played with the Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks, where he played second base, shortstop and left field. He signed with the Mariners at the end of last year as a utility player.
Originally from Port Orchard, Washington, Bloomquist is an avid hunter and shooter and has been on Team Weatherby since 2012.
Porterville, California-native Bear Pascoe is an accomplished team roper from his days helping out on his parents’ ranch. He made his NFL start with the New York Giants and is said to have played a key role in the team’s victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
Pascoe signed with the Atlanta Falcons in May as a tight end. He’s been on Team Weatherby since 2012.
