ASHLAND, Neb. (AP) — A 2014 mountain lion permit will be auctioned off during the Nebraska Big Game Society's fall meeting.

The permit will be for the Nebraska Pine Ridge Unit. Along with the permit, the Nebraska Big Game Society is offering to provide a guide with dogs, territory to hunt and up to four nights of lodging for the winning bidder.

Auction proceeds will be donated to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for conservation and mountain lion management and studies.

The society meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., Oct. 16, at Mahoney State Park Lodge near Ashland.
