BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Late-season mountain lion hunting in southwestern North Dakota is closed, after the seventh big cat was killed.

The state Game and Fish Department announced the closure on Sunday. Officials say five of the seven-cat quota were killed in Zone 1 over the weekend.

The state Game and Fish Department says there is no quota in Zone 2, which is the rest of the state. The hunting season there is open through next March.
