Inside the Mathews Retailer Business Show—part 4

Some of the best new bow gear for 2013 was on display at the 5th Annual Mathews Retailer Business Show, held December 3-5 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

Several members of team Archery Business were on hand for the show that is held exclusively for Mathews retailers, Lost Camo licensees, and Mathews TV sponsors—and highlights all the latest Mathews and Mission bows and Lost Camo licensed products.

More than 150 Lost Camo licensees and nearly 400 Mathews retailers were on hand for the event, which also offered an opportunity to “test drive” the latest Mathews bows, which include the Creed with its new Simplex Solocam design, and the Monster Chill dual cam, part of the Mathews McPherson Series line.

Looking for one of the hottest new arrows of 2013? Retailers interested in the new Maxima Red kept the Carbon Express booth humming throughout the show; the exciting new arrow, shown here by Don Ward, features stiffer ends to contain and control dynamic spine to the center of the arrow, or “Red Zone.” Carbon Express says this construction is designed to deliver unmatched broadhead accuracy.

Every retailer needs a good selection of broadheads, and Grim Reaper continues to offer some of the deadliest, deepest-penetrating models available—as evidenced by this selection displayed by Jace Johnson and Matt Bateman.

Quality Archery Designs’ Kevin Frey was on hand to show off the company’s sharp-looking new logo, as well as its expanded Exodus broadhead line that now includes a new Deep Six compatible model, and new Ultra Rest developed in partnership with Mathews Inc. that features Lost Camo and Harmonic Damper.

What’s new at Easton? The company’s Jeff Howard displayed plenty of new-for-2013 arrow innovation that includes the new Easton Carbon Aftermath, a high-strength, micro-diameter carbon arrow available in four sizes. And the best feature? It’s affordable price.
