The folks at Bullet Theory Films had a cool idea and executed flawlessly.

Everyone loves slow-motion videos, but seeing a bullet shot at an axe blade and the blade splitting the the bullet — all in slow motion — is must-see worthy.

Bullet Theory Films’ posted video of a .45-caliber auto round being shot from a 1911 and splitting the blade from 7 yards away went live last month and has received more than 7,000 views.

The video shows two attempts for a perfect split. The first shot is just off to the right, while the second is right on the money. Camera angles vary from showing the 1911 fire in slow motion to a side video of the bullet splitting to an underneath angle that shows the symmetrical split of the second bullet.
