Video: Advanced Armament Corp. Illusion suppressor review

Advanced Armament Corp. (AAC) is an innovative and well-known suppressor manufacturer. Its innovation is noticeable right off when looking at the Illusion 9 suppressor. You’ll notice the bore of the suppressor in not located in the center. Why would AAC offset the bore? So that the shooter can align the bore toward the bottom, leaving the sight picture unobstructed. The design works perfect, too. I was able to put sights on steel and bang away without the silencer blocking my view of the target.

The Illusion 9 utilizes AAC’s patent pending Assured Semi-Automatic Performance (ASAP) system that not only ensures reliable operation on a broad spectrum of autoloader handguns, but also enables users to easily adjust the rotational orientation of the silencer to provide an unobstructed sight picture on most host guns.
