Reward Offered For Information On Acworth Gun Store Robbery

ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) — Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information about the robbery of an Acworth guns store.

Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said they are seeking tips about the April 3 theft of firearms from Liberty Guns. The ATF is offering a $2,500 reward. It will be matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

ATF Special Agent in Charge Carl Walker said the burglary put 36 firearms on the street. Walker said there is a strong possibility the guns could be sold to or used by criminals.
