Hunters Specialties unveiled numerous new products at the 2016 SHOT Show this year, including new HS Strut Undertaker premium turkey calls and Johnny Stewart Grim Speaker and GS2.
The new HS Strut series includes several call types, including a box call and diaphragm call, but its pot and peg call is the true game-changer.
What sets this call apart is its Aluma-Tune sound board that features hand-tuned cuts for the best sounds possible. HS representatives said seasoned callers can tell the difference in sound. The call is made from an engineered wood pan and striker for increased stability. It includes an eerie, frosted glass for extreme range and volume of realistic tones. MRSP is $39.99.
On the electronic side, Hunters Specialties introduced the Grim Speaker and GS2.
The Grim Speaker comes with five pre-programmed authentic Johnny Stewart calls in 16-bit clarity. Each call loops for 30 seconds or more and are controlled by a handheld remote that has a 50-yard range. The Grim Speaker is loud, clear and lightweight. It uses four AA batters and the remote uses one 12V A23 battery. MRSP is $49.99.
For those looking for more than the Grim Speaker offers, the GS2 provides a necessary upgrade. At a MSRP of $119.99, the GS2 has 10 pre-programmed calls that can be played or looped simultaneously or alone. It has 256 MB of storage, plays at 110 decibels and the remote has a 100-yard range. The GS2 uses four AA batteries and the remote uses one 12V A23 battery.
