The New Orleans Saints took the team-building concept from the football field to the water recently when 115 players, coaches and other staff boarded 21 boats and spent a few hours after dark in pursuit of various fish under the watchful eyes of guides with Bowfishing Unlimited.
Drew Brees (left) and other members of the Saints are taking part in Organized Team Activities (OTAs) at their team facility in Metairie, Louisiana, and traveled by bus on Monday night, June 4, to Plaquemines Parish.
Instead of “being ready for some football,” however, the players and staff were ready for some redfish and other species in Port Sulphur. As the photos here from Bowfishing Unlimited Facebook show, several of the players had no trouble using archery gear to harvest fish.
At around midnight on Monday, the final score was 170 reds, plus many more fish of other types.

The guide gives a quick lesson on how to shoot safely and accurately, and then it’s up to you to make the shot. Bowfishing Unlimited knows that service is key, so you can expect a deckhand to hand you drinks, manage bowfishing line, and do anything else needed so you can focus your attention on bowfishing.
