ELITE ARCHERY

Elite Archery 2015Buy an Elite Synergy and you might find yourself wanting some alone time with it – and not just for its good looks. Reminiscent of the popular Answer, and sharing much of the technology from Elite’s Energy series, the Synergy joins the short list of bows achieving more-than-adequate speed along with a silky-smooth draw and quiet, shock-free shot. The Synergy two-track cams are new, as are the limb pockets. The string stopper has been tweaked from last year’s models, and the LimbSavers are colored to better match the various camo patterns offered by Elite. Elite’s Riser Cage bridged riser design is back from last year, along with Winner’s Choice Custom Strings and the Pro Kote (formerly Ceracote) non-reflective protective coating on all cams, cable rods and suppressor rods. A mass weight of 4.4 pounds contributes to the Synergy’s steadiness and shock-free shooting. Similarly, the moderate 33.5-inch axle-to-axle length is short enough for use in a treestand or ground blind without the disadvantages associated with super-compact bows. Reaching top speeds of 325 fps IBO with a generous 73⁄8-inch brace height, the Synergy is available in a 65-pound peak weight model as well as 40-, 50-, 60-, 70- and 80-pound models. Draw lengths are module-specific in half-inch increments and range from 27 to a full 31 inches. In Realtree Xtra, Realtree Max 1, Ninja Black, Snow and custom combinations of these, the Synergy is one great-looking bow. It retails for $950.

Designed for target shooters, the Victory’s enhanced geometry and machined integral grip (no side plates) provide a stable platform and torque-free shooting that will put you atop the podium. The ultra-forgiving 7-inch brace-height Elite Victory measures 39 inches from axle to axle, weighs 4.5 pounds and hits speeds up to 325 fps IBO (343 fps with #1 32-inch V Module.). Said by Elite to be the best-aiming bow the company has ever released, the Victory boasts dual straight and 10-degree down stabilizer mounts and two rear stabilizer-mounting positions, allowing shooters the chance to perfectly customize balance. The reinforced Riser Cage adds rigidity and ensures maximum energy transfer to the parallel limbs. The new Victory Cam system with adjustable color-coded O-ring draw stops allows shooters to customize the cam’s valley to find that personal “sweet spot.” Elite’s Black Victory sells for $949 while the anodized target colors, of which there are many, retail for $1,249.
