LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nineteen meat processors will participate in this year's Hunters Helping the Hungry program.
The program, administered by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, combines cash donations and donated deer for ground venison to distribute to Nebraskans in need.
Hunters may donate deer at any contracted Hunters Helping the Hungry processor. To get an up-to-date list of processors accepting deer for the program, potential participants can visit www.OutdoorNebraska.org/HHH or contact program coordinator Teresa Lombard at 402 471-5430 or teresa.lombard@nebraska.gov .
The participating meat processors can be found across the state, from Bayard to Omaha.
