How To Build A Small 'Kill Plot' In Tough Conditions

In a follow up story and video, Jace Bauserman shows you how to build a small 'kill plot' with the right seeds and fertilizer — and a little dose of family sweat equity.

How To Build A Small 'Kill Plot' In Tough Conditions

A few weeks ago I posted a 5 Steps For Easy DIY Food Plot Success story.

One of the problems with this type of story, at least in my opinion, is there’s rarely ever any follow up. I can write about it, but do I actually practice what I preach? Am I willing to put in the effort to make my Centennial State food plot work?

Take a peek at this video and I’ll let you be the judge.

Keep in mind that this is a small kill plot. I don’t have access to heavy machinery or thousands of acres of private land. Also keep in mind that the average monthly rainfall in my area is less than .5 inches.

I’m super happy with how it’s turning out, and I will keep you all posted throughout the spring, summer and fall.
