RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission will send a letter to Beretta USA about game violations committed by the host of an outdoors television show the firearms company sponsors.

The commissioners approved the letter at their Friday meeting and expressed concern about the ethical and legal violations committed in South Dakota by Scott Robertson and his wife. Robertson hosts Beretta's “Wild and Raw.” The commissioners say their concerns are with illegal deer taken by the couple in 2008 and 2009.

The Rapid City Journal reports the violations were part of a broader investigation that led to state and federal convictions of others in the Rock Creek Ranch case in Todd County.

The letter says Robertson's actions show a “complete disregard” for wildlife laws in South Dakota.
