Joe Reams III and his father, Joe Reams Jr., of Southern Habitats Native Wildlife Solutions visit our Borrowed Acres land project to help us boost our native browse for wildlife.

Southern Habitats specializes in growing and selling native browse for wildlife managers throughout the Southeast. On their visit to Borrowed Acres the focus is to establish several stands of a native browse they call Sweet Tea.

This shrub like plant is high in protein and the deer absolutely love it. It's a summertime browse that works great when planted along the edge of food plots.

Check out the video to learn more about Sweet Tea and how to plant it. Also, visit to learn more about establishing native browse on your property.
