Bears tear up car in Jefferson County, Colorado

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — A Jefferson County man got a surprise after he found the interior of his car torn up by bears.

Bob Monzel said Tuesday he believes a mother and her two cubs that have been wandering around the neighborhood damaged his Honda Element when they somehow got inside and went on rampage while trying to get out.

According to KMGH-TV, the bears left claw marks on the car doors and they shredded the interior beyond recognition.

Monzel says yellow insulation is all that is left of the seat cushions, and the plastic dashboard is smashed. There are also electrical wires dangling from the ceiling and the driver controls have been ripped off the side-door panel.
