New Hampshire offers free archery leagues

HOLDERNESS, N.H. (AP) — Archers wishing to keep their skills in tune over the winter can participate in free archery leagues offered by New Hampshire's Fish and Game Department.

The leagues are for both beginners and experienced archers who want to improve or learn new skills. The leagues will be held at Owl Brook Hunter Education Center. Each league will meet one night a week for four weeks from 6:30-8 p.m.

The first advanced league will meet Tuesdays starting Jan. 7. The beginner-instructional league will meet on Thursdays starting Jan. 9.

In February, the advanced league will meet on Wednesdays starting Feb. 5 while the beginner league will meet on Thursdays starting Feb. 6.

Registration is first-come, first-served. Leagues are limited to 10 people. Register by calling Tom Flynn or Eric Geib at 536-3954.
