HELENA, Mont. (AP) Montana wildlife officials say mountain lion hunting season will end after sunset Friday for parts of Gallatin and Park counties.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks said Thursday the closure notice comes after the harvest quota had been met in hunting district 314.

The department's Web site says three males and one female mountain lion were killed in the district during the season.

Hunting season for the big cats remains open for dozens of other districts across the state.
