The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources on Wednesday announced the dates for Canada goose, mourning dove, sora, Virginia rails, and common snipe.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia hunters are gearing up for fall seasons.
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources on Wednesday announced the dates for various fall hunting seasons.
Canada goose, mourning dove, sora, Virginia rails, and common snipe seasons begin on Sept. 1. Woodcock season will begin on Oct. 22.
The seasons are set within guidelines established annually by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Officials also have established bag limits for each type of bird.
All applicable federal and state permits are required.
