SUSSEX, Va. (AP) State authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at a hunt club in Sussex County.
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries says a 17-year-old male from Petersburg shot 61-year-old Alan B. Rader of Virginia Beach in the chest Saturday during a turkey shoot at the Flat Tale Hunt Club. Rader was pronounced dead at the scene.
The teen was with a different hunting party. He wasn't identified.
The game agency is investigating the shooting.
