On Saturday, April 12, Easton Foundations hosted an open house for the new Easton Salt Lake Archery Center. The doors of this $12 million, 60,000-square-foot facility were opened to the general public allowing visitors the opportunity to watch Olympic archers put on shooting demonstrations, try out the sport of archery with provided equipment, and enjoy food and drinks.
Located on 575 N John Glenn Road, Salt Lake City, Utah, the Easton Salt Lake Archery Center showcases one of the largest indoor shooting ranges in the world, and like all Easton Archery Centers, is designed for both family fun as well as high-level training for serious archery competitors. In addition, the venue will host open shooting leagues, national and international competitions, specialty camps, clinics, and opportunities for shooters to train one-on-one with certified instructors.
The Utah center officially opened its doors on Tuesday, April 15, and will work closely with Easton Archery Centers throughout the country to introduce the growing sport of competitive archery to those young and old in an effort to see archery become a mainstream activity. The state-of-the-art facility is also equipped with a gym, a sports medicine room, a workshop with technologically advanced testing, outdoor and 3-D ranges, and meeting/classroom space. The facility also sports a self-analysis projector which allows archers to see themselves on the target while they are at full draw.
Together Easton Foundations Archery Centers form a network of regional training facilities designed to promote excellence in the sport of archery. Operated through local partners and developed to serve archery on a regional basis, Easton Archery Centers serve the needs of shooters regardless of their goals or ability levels.
