At last year's SHOT Show, Citadel noted that they were working on a 9mm M1 Carbine replica. At this year's show, they're showing it and announced that it will be available in mid-February. The M1 Carbine has many fans and this looks like it should be popular.
Built using the original military specs of the legendary carbine as a starting point, the M1-9mm uses Beretta 92 magazines. It comes with two 10-rounders, and other Beretta 92 mags, including a 17-rounder, will work with the carbine.
The M1-9mm has an 18-inch barrel with six-groove rifling and a fixed forward sight. The rear site is adjustable.
It's available in wood or black synthetic. Like Citadel's .22 rimfire M1 carbines, the M1-9mm can use original M1 Carbine wood. Though Citadel doesn't currently plan to make the M1-9mm available in the Moon Shine Camo patterns that the M1-22 is offered in, the rep noted that he's been asked about that option a number of times already and that they're interested in seeing if there's enough demand to consider it.
MSRP is $539 for the black synthetic model and $642 for the wood. Extra 10-round mags are $26 and the 17-rounder is $29.
