BOWTECH Names New VP Of Sales

Renowned for producing compound bows and archery accessories loaded with the latest technologies, BOWTECH recently boosted its management team by naming Scott Henrikson as its Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Henrikson, a graduate of the University of Oregon, comes to BOWTECH with an impressive track record in the sales and marketing arena. During his consumer brand tenure, Henrikson has held high-level leadership positions with Newell Corporation, Corning, General Mills, and most recently, the Jarden Corporation.

Scott HenriksonHenrikson, who will oversee all product lines for BOWTECH, including the newly acquired Excalibur, is excited about his new venture and what the future holds.

AB: What drove you to take this position?

“It was the excitement of working with an iconic company known for manufacturing industry-leading products. In truth, BOWTECH is only 15 years old, but there is just so much going on here. We have great brands along with the capability to develop new products and leverage innovation. Plus, the company has good relationships with customers across all channels and there is an opportunity to further develop these relationships as we execute our growth strategy.”

AB: What strengths do you bring to the table?

“I’m focused on building great brands, developing strategic partnerships with top customers, and executing a growth strategy. I believe in a strategy that is externally focused on our customers and our consumers, and letting that strategy guide our product development and marketing efforts. And I’ve been fortunate to have built and developed a good reputation for delivering positive results.”

AB: What do you see for the immediate future at BOWTECH?

“With the acquisition of Excalibur, we have the unique opportunity to leverage two market-leading brands. BOWTECH has a strong leadership position in the vertical bow arena and Excalibur in the horizontal bow arena. In addition, we have an underdeveloped accessory business under the brand Octane. Now it’s about becoming that ‘one-stop shop’ for our customers while continuing to drive new and innovative product development.”

AB: What do you see as your biggest challenges?

“Honestly, I don’t see any big challenges or obstacles. There is so much good in place here and I just see us growing.”

AB: In your eyes, what is the current state of the archery industry?

“I see the industry as strong and believe it will only get stronger. The industry has some good tail winds in the forms of bowfishing and crossbows, and the vertical bow arena is only expanding. I see the industry getting more advanced and utilizing new and exciting technologies. It’s definitely an exciting place to be.”
